On Friday 8 November we hosted 25 Schools and over 200 students at our annual Digitech Conference. It’s a complete ‘kids teaching kids’ event – student keynotes, student run workshops, student MC’s – inspiring stuff!
Wow!! We had an amazing day hosting ‘Digitech Conference 2018’ at Carrum Primary School. 21 Victorian schools, 2 USA schools, 250+ students & teachers sharing their fantastic Digitech projects & ideas in lots of ‘kids teaching kids’ workshops & presentations.
Carrum PS hosted ‘Digitech Conference 2017’ on Thursday 9 November. It’s the second year we’ve run this event that highlights great digitech activity in our local schools – this year 20+ schools and over 250 students joined us! The Conference featured a variety of great keynote speakers but its main focus is the ‘hands on’ workshops conducted by students in our local schools network showcasing great Digitech activities. Workshop sessions include: Mindstorms EV3 programming, Scratch Gaming Arcade, Sphero Programming, mBot Programming, RoboCup Junior (robot dancing), Blue-Bots (programming by Prep Students), Micro: bit programming, Augmented Reality with Aurasma, App Making with Code.Org, Explain Everything App creation, Restart Project: re-cycling RC Cars & Laptops, Create Virtual School Tours with Google My Maps, Touch Cast (video making with Green Screen) and many more!
