We are seeking Class Parent Representatives for each class at Carrum PS in 2024.

What is a Class Parent Representative?
The Class Parent Representative provides an important line of communication between the classroom teacher and parents.

Being a Class Representative is an enjoyable way of becoming involved in our school community. The Class Representative plays an important role linking the parents within their class group. It is a great way to get to know other parents in the school, and to make new friends. It is a relatively easy task, and several parents can share the role for a class, if preferred.

Role of the Class Parent Representative
• Assist the teacher in sourcing helpers for activities/excursions, if required.
• Welcome new families to the class and arranging appropriate introductions with other parents of the class.
• Support parents by providing advice on where to go or who to ask for information when required.
• Encourage parents to get involved with school activities throughout the year.
